4. Coney Island Mermaid Parade
Load up the family and head to Coney Island on Saturday, June 18th, for the Coney Island Mermaid Parade! This parade focuses on art and is considered to be the largest art parade in the country. It’s held each year to ring in the new summer season. The parade starts on West 21st and Surf Ave and will stroll eastward toward West 10th. There will be floats and parade marchers the whole family can enjoy!
5. Bryant Park Movie Nights
Every monday throughout the Summer, there will be an outdoor movie screening in Bryant Park. The venue will open at five, and the film will usually screen around 8 PM. Bring a blanket, and some food and drinks, and get ready to watch some amazing films under the stars. It is completely free and it is recommended to get there early to secure a good spot
6. New York Philharmonic Concerts
You can’t have a "things to do in June" list for New York City without the full schedule of the New York Philharmonic concerts in the parks. This is an iconic New York experience and has been a tradition dating back to 1965. When the Philharmonics play, the city’s parks transform into picnickers and music enthusiasts eager to take in some classical sounds under the New York stars.
