The Times Square Alliance Presents TSQ Live for its Annual Summer Event
Every summer, this event invites numerous artists, performers, and cultural producers to be a part of an incredible lineup and present their work to the diverse crowd that Times Square attracts. They host weekly performances that generally take place on Tuesday to Friday (with some variations) from May until September. Each day highlights different types of performers for fun and excitement all summer long!
Tuesday: DJ Sets
Starting at 5:00 pm on select Tuesdays, TSQ Live hosts various DJ sets at the Broadway Pedestrian Plaza between 45th & 46th Streets. These artists bring the sounds of NYC’s best nightclubs to the middle of Times Square.
Wednesday: Live Music with MTA MUNY
Enjoy some live music with the fantastic artists of MTA MUNY starting at 5:00 pm on Wednesdays on Broadway and 43rd Street. This visual and performing arts program has been discovering talented performers since its start in 1985. Their talented performers take on Times Square every Wednesday during TSQ Live.
Thursday: Jazz in Times Square
Take in some jazz music curated by Jazz at Lincoln Center as various artists perform on Thursdays starting at 5:00 pm at the Broadway Pedestrian Plaza between 45th & 46th Streets. NYC’s jazz scene will bring some good vibes to the hustle and bustle of Times Square.
Friday: Summer Concerts
There’s no doubt Times Square is a lively place. Add some free summer concerts into the mix, and the whole area will be ready to party. Enjoy the free concert series every Friday starting at 6:00 pm at the Broadway Pedestrian Plaza between 45th & 46th Streets. Genres include indie, pop, electronic, and more! Many of the artists will be celebrating new work and upcoming summer releases.
