The 3rd Annual Japan Parade & Street Fair is back this year in New York City! It’s time to celebrate the friendship and cultural exchange between NYC and the Japanese community. The mission of the Japan Parade & Street Fair is to strengthen the ties with the Japanese-American community with a day that immerses New Yorkers in traditional and modern Japanese culture. You’ll see talented performers in stunning attire and experience delicious food tents with yummy treats. The vibrancy and spirit of Japan come alive on the streets of NYC for a day filled with traditions and artistry, and you won’t want to miss it!
When is the Japan Parade & Street Fair?
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 11th, 2024, starting at 11:00 am and going until 5:00 pm. Parade start time is 1:00 pm.
What is the parade route?
The parade route goes southbound on Central Park West, beginning on West 81st Street and ending on West 67th Street.
Where is the street fair located?
The street fair is located at West 72nd Street in between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.
What can spectators expect to see?
You’re in for a fun day filled with taiko performers, bon-odori dancers, marchers wearing kimono, martial arts teams of disciplines like karate and judo, food & activity tents, and more!
