Experience the Brooklyn Half Marathon

The Brooklyn Half Marathon is back this year for running enthusiasts and spectators alike! Whether you’re lacing up your running shoes and pounding the iconic Brooklyn streets or cheering on your friends and family from the sidewalks, this journey of endurance is one you won’t want to miss! Over 20,000 runners will take on the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon this month on a certified course that promises incredible city views and unforgettable moments for everyone involved. Mark your calendars and be a part of this beloved New York City tradition!

When is the Brooklyn Half Marathon Happening?

NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon will be on April 28th, 2024, starting at 7:00 am.

Where Does the Course Run?

The course is USATF-certified and starts in North Brooklyn. From there, it winds around the waterfront under the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges providing runners with sweeping Manhattan views. Then the route heads up to the concourses of Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue before then passing through Grand Army Plaza and into the brownstone parts of Brooklyn before finishing in Prospect Park.

What Amenities are Provided to Runners?

Water and lemon/lime Nuun endurance will be given out by volunteers at various points throughout the race. Restrooms will be available and staged every one-to-two miles. Medical support will be available throughout the course if needed. After the race, you’ll receive a NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon race shirt and medal signifying your fantastic finish! 

Will There Be Awards & Prize Money?

Absolutely! Prize money will be awarded to the top 10 finishers (by gun time) in each of the three gender divisions. 1st place is $2,500, 2nd place is $1,250, 3rd place is $750, 4th place is $500, 5th place is $250, and 6th place to 10th place is $100.

How Do Family and Friends Cheer on Their Runners?

Family and friends can track runners by checking out the app along the course and at the finish line! The Brooklyn Half Marathon also offers limited Finish Line Access passes, which can be purchased online.
