Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in NYC

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up quickly on March 17th. Do you have plans yet? New York City will turn green and host plenty of events and festivities to celebrate. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade

You can’t really celebrate St. Patrick’s Day without also attending the St. Patrick’s Day parade in NYC. This celebratory tradition dates back to 1762, and this year kicks off at 11:00 AM Friday morning, March 17th. The route begins at the New York Public Library and travels toward St. Patrick’s Cathedral on 51st Street. Traveling along 5th Street until its finale on 19th Street, the parade will go until around 4:30 PM. It’s going to be busy and crowded, so plan ahead to find your best views!

Enjoy Whisky Tasting at The Parlour Room

The Parlour Room in Midtown Manhattan is known for its delicious menu selections and craft cocktails. But in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, The Parlour Room is hosting a special whiskey-tasting experience featuring some of the most iconic Irish whiskey varieties. Tour the Catacombs at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral

The Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, located in Nolita, is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but it’s also mysterious. Hailed as one of the most “insider tours of New York,” this tour is a definite bucket list adventure, perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

The ‘40 Shades of Green’ Festival

This cultural festival is another fan favorite, happening on March 17th for a six-hour-long program. Celebrate the iconic luck of the Irish at the New York Irish Center with entertainment starting at 3:00 PM. Featuring local and international artists, you’ll feel like you’re back in the “old country” and more festive than ever!

Find an Adventurous Pub Crawl

You’ll be hard-pressed to find any bar or nightclub that isn’t offering something green or festive for St. Patrick’s Day. So, while you can try your best to visit a few, you might have more fun sampling several establishments’ specials with a pub crawl.
