About the Maurya Kerr World Premier Performance
This cultural performance debut will showcase linking duets from Chelsea Reichert, Alexander Diaz, Alex Carrington, Tatiana Barber, and Styles Alexander. The scores are recorded by Joel St. Julien, set to depict a progression of Maurya Kerr’s artistic exploration.
Maurya Kerr is practically a household name in the California dance scene, with massive acclaim for her film Saint Leroi which debuted in New York at the Dance on Camera Festival. This film was hailed as a “surreal meditation on Black History, American decay, and a powerful indictment of racism” by Elizabeth Zimmer of the Village Voice. And fans don't expect anything less than stunning from this latest World Premier event.
