Your New York State Fair Guide
It can be a bit overwhelming to attend the New York State Fair because there’s so much to do and see. We’re here to help you plan your visit and navigate your day, whether you’re local to the area or traveling in from NYC.
General Information Before You Arrive
The New York State Fair kicks off on August 21st, 2024, and goes until September 2nd, 2024. It takes place at the New York State Fairgrounds located at 581 State Fair Blvd, Syracuse, NY.
Admission tickets and parking passes can all be purchased online. There are no cash sales at the front entrance or the parking lots, but there are self-service kiosks where you can purchase tickets once you have arrived.
The fairgrounds are accessible by car, public transportation, and special fair buses. There’s plenty of parking on-site, with shuttle services available for lots that are further from the entrance.
The Main Attractions
The Midway is always buzzing with excitement! There’s an array of rides and games for all ages. The fair offers a variety of Midway Ride Ticket packages you can purchase online or at the ticket booth when you arrive.
The New York State Fair has a schedule full of fun concerts and entertainment that span the entire fair. Don’t miss the concerts at the Chevy Court and the Suburban Park with some amazing headliners. Additionally, there will be daily entertainment that’s perfect for the whole family at the Empire Theater and the Grange Building.
