What to Expect at Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Lightscapes This Season
This annual New York City event aims to showcase the beauty of the season by creating an immersive and enchanting experience for all ages. Lightscapes is a mile-long trail highlighted by light sculptures, colorful effects, and water features; all brought to life by a curated soundtrack from local Brooklyn artists. The exhibits use living and built landscapes, such as trees, curving landscapes, and historical buildings, to maximize every part of the garden.
Seventeen different works of light from local and international artists will be showcased to the public. Some of these include the Winter Cathedral Tunnel, Fire Garden, Neon Waves, and Shunkashūtō, just to name a few. For a full list and map, click HERE.
Along the trail, hot beverages (hot chocolate, cider, and mulled wine) and light snacks will be available for purchase.
Lightscapes Family Benefit
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden offers this special event that raises money to support the Garden’s youth education programs. This fundraiser is happening on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, from 4:30–7:30 p.m. and gives donors an exclusive Lightscapes experience that’s fun for the whole family or would be perfect for a corporate event.
