What Is NYC Restaurant Week?
NYC Restaurant Week was officially started in 1992 by Tim Zagat and Joe Baum with the intention of attracting guests who were looking for affordable dining options in the city during that week in the summer. Less than a handful of restaurants participated during that time.
Since then, it has grown significantly over the years into what it is today. With almost 500 participating restaurants over the five boroughs and spanning over three weeks in both the summer and winter, it has become a NYC favorite!
What Deals Are Being Offered During NYC Restaurant Week?
Aside from the opportunity to try all the new cuisines, the fantastic deals these restaurants offer are the main appeal. Here’s what you can expect from all the participating restaurants:
- Prix-fixe meals for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
- Two-course lunch menu ranging from $25-$35
- Two-course dinner menu ranging from $40-$45
- Three-course dinner menu ranging from $60-$65
- Most options are only available Monday through Friday, with some restaurants participating on Sunday as well.
- Please note: Drinks, gratuity, and taxes are not included.
When is NYC Winter Restaurant Happening?
January 16th - February 4th, 2024. Participating restaurants will run these deals Monday - Friday during that time, with some choosing to participate on Sundays.
What Restaurants are Participating in 2024?
The official list of participating restaurants comes out on January 9th, and in previous weeks, there have been some of NYC’s favorite culinary spots, including Peter Luger, Gramercy Tavern, Le Bernardin, Bar Bouloud, Red Rooster, Melba’s, and Pig & Khao, just to name a few!
