The crisp autumn air and the feel of cooler temperatures are coming after a long, hot summer, and it’s the perfect time to travel outside of the city for some fall fun and scenic views. The leaves are vibrantly changing colors, and the weather is ideal for some outdoor activities to celebrate the fall harvest. Just outside of New York City, there are many incredible farms that offer apple and pumpkin picking, plus hayrides, corn mazes, petting zoos, and autumn markets. There’s something extra special about picking your own apples for homemade pies or carving Halloween pumpkins you picked right off the vine. So grab your friends and family (and a pumpkin spice latte!) and check out what these wonderful local farms have to offer!
